Upcoming Event on February 23rd

I hope everyone had a chance to see the gorgeous lunar eclipse on Feb 20th. It was breath-taking. I heard a man on the radio that summed it up very well. He said not was it beautiful, but very powerful knowing that millions of people in the world were looking at the same thing at the same time. It was a moment of world unity. I felt that and it brought tears to my eyes!

On another note, I wanted to take a moment to let you know that I will be set up at the Spritual Fair on Saturday Feb 23rd, 2008. The location is 1320-5th Ave NW in Calgary, Alberta. The fair runs from 9am - 5pm. Please come and see me. I will be doing astrology sessions, oracle cards, & angel cards. You can also ask about my self-growth programs. It's a great time to start taking care of yourself and giving your self-esteem the boost that it deserves!! I will have many products on display for at least 50% off so come check it out!

From the Desk of Chrysta: Fall 2007

The Saturn-Neptune opposition is now over and so are the nagging health problems, setbacks in career and even a touch of depression that have been on many people's minds. I hope you've had a chance to learn something from this. As with any challenging astrological aspect it may not always feel so good, but it is meant to bring us awareness and growth. Reflect on the last 14 months and find out what it is that you learned.

The beginning of October may feel a bit unstable and possibly even chaotic. Like the previous challenge, keep in mind to look at the doors that are opening instead of the ones that are closing. Be flexible and ready to roll with the punches. You'll come out looking strong when everyone else won't know what hit them.

Later in October, Mercury goes retrograde which can cause some glitches in your plans - especially financial ones. Then the Full Moon on Oct 25th will likely be quite busy and more intense if you have sensitive Moon, angles, nodes or ruling planets. If this time feels intense to you and you don't know why, send me an email and I'll take a look at your chart so you can pinpoint which planet or angle is sensitive for the future.

The New Moon in November will bring an added boost to starting a new project or reaching important agreements. The latter half of November is colored by a Jupiter-Pluto conjunction starting to form. It's at about 6 degrees now and will be a few months yet but will have an effect nonetheless. You can expect to see global business mergers, expansion in power or even personally look at taking an adventure.

So who knew a baby a would consume all of your time?!! I apologize again for the delay as June just flew by without an update so I'll try to make up for it. That being said we went through a Mercury retrograde which ends soon so I hope everyone made it okay or if there are technical equipment errors occuring in your life the last few weeks, that's why and I didn't get time to warn you!! Ha! The Mercury retrograde ends on July 9th so hang in there for another couple of days!

The New Moon occurs on July 14 in Cancer at 6:04am MDT. Because it occurs in Cancer, it is a good time to take a look at various levels of our being. We need to take this time to let go of cetain things that have protected us and readjust to new things in order to grow. Some examples here could be to buy some new clothes as we may have outgrown our old ones, reflect on our jobs and go ahead with getting a new one, etc. Ask yourself: "Have I outgrown this?" Whatever "this" may be, if your gut answer is yes then it's time to let it go and move on to something else. The area that your New Moon falls in your chart is where you are changing and need to make changes in order to move onto the the next level. The Full Moon is in Aquarius on July 29 at 6:48pm MDT. This is a great summer Full Moon as it promotes us to come together and shouts "you are not alone".

There is extra energy from expansive Jupiter as well because he is going direct on August 6. Since his retrograde on April 5 we have likely learned a lot about our beleifs and are preparing to take a new step towards expressing who we are.

Venus is also strong at the end of the month. She goes retrograde once every 2 years so is allowing us an opportunity to wrap up loose ends in relationships.

Hello everyone,

I am late explaning about the Full Moon in Scorpio which occured on May 2nd. Of course, I have a good excuse (see previous post below). This was a time where the Sun is in Taurus and brings light to what we need to see in regards to what we value and our connection between the material things and our self-worth. There was a square between Jupiter and Uranus on May 10th adding urging us to break free of old habits and start something new. I happened to use this time to clean out my closets and donate old & new clothes to charities.

On May 16th at 1:29pm MDT the New Moon will be in Taurus. Again, the Earth sign, Taurus is associated with the things that ground us and brings stability. This New Moon may create a focus on what makes you feel grounded or how you consider yourself rich. It often times has very little to do with how much money you have in the bank, but rather what you consider to be valuable and what makes you truly happy.

Neptune and Chiron will be going retrograde late in the month. Chiron will allow us to look beyond differences and help us see who has joined forces with you for a similar cause. Neptune will help you understand the relationship between you and your community or social relationships. Together these 2 planets in retrograde will show you a greater cosmic relationship where we are all really part of the bigger picture and every little thing we do helps in some way. We can all make a difference and during a Taurus New Moon this can bring joy and fulfillment to you.

On May 31st we will see another Full Moon. It takes place at 7:04pm in Sagittarius. When 2 Full Moons occur in the same month it is considered a "Blue Moon". Though it has no astrological significance, I thought it was interesting and wanted to pass it along to you. The name came from the Farmer's Almanac and occurs every 2 1/2 to 3 years because of how our calendar system works. This Full Moon in Sagittarius will bring light to the power of our mind because Sagittarius is concerned with gaining wisdom from different cultures and views. The Sun is in Gemini which shows us where we need to communicate or speak out. At this Full Moon Jupiter will be conjunct the Moon and opposed the Sun, which will create a need to discover the truth. Mercury is in Cancer, which will urge you to follow your heart.

Have a wonderful May and Happy Mother's Day to all women. You don't need to have child to be a Mother and have a significant influence over a child. Celebrate life's journeys and what brings you joy.

Announcement

I will be updating the website as soon as I get a chance. I was blessed on April 4 with the birth of my son, Gabriel. He was 6 weeks early and being an Aries just wanted to be ahead of the game and couldn't wait until his due date. Please bear with me for the next few months as I get used to motherhood and trying to run a business all at the sametime. Thanks very much for your patience!

Spring is in the air and the Full Moon is in Libra this month on April 2 at 11:16 am MDT. This full moon encourages us to grow and face the unknown. It brings light to show us we are heading to new challenges. Pluto went retrograde on March 31st which gives intensified energy into our awareness of this Full Moon. As Pluto continues retrograde until September 7th we may find ourselves looking closer at our lives and getting rid of what is not in line with our true path. Another factor of this is Saturn turning direct on April 19th. Saturn and Jupiter are working together to bring new changes in society. We will likely see changes in poticial and economic areas of society.

The New Moon occurs on April 17 in Aries at 5:37am MDT. This gives us a chance to wipe our slates clean and begin the next cycle with an open mind. Mars is the ruling planet of the New Moon and is in Pisces which intensifies our intuition and reminds us to us our gut before taking action. This focus is also comes from Saturn turning direct on April 19. It encourages authenticity and makes you need to do what is in your heart in order to stay true to who you are. It allows us to take a big step forward now after what seems like life was stuck (Saturn went retrograde Dec 5/06). The size of your step forward will depend on how we have used the retrograde period to reflect on our lives. If you have eliminated the things that will hold you back or drain your positive energy then you have done well and this will likely be a very rewarding time for you.

Happy March! It's almost spring so hang in there and be thankful for where you are at.

We are blessed this month with the experiences of the eclipse. During a lunar eclipse we do not have the warming light from the Sun so we tend to feel more of the shadow side of the Moon. This is the unconscious areas that we hide or keep to ourselves. During an eclipse we are given the opportunity to focus on our fears and grow from them. Of course, this takes a willingness to look closely at yourself rather than sweep your feelings under the carpet. On March 3, the lunar eclipse will occur in Virgo. This means we will need to focus on pettiness, critical self-talk, and sacrificing yourself for the sake of others.

March 7th, Mercury goes direct so you will be able to see clearly again and proceed with the decisions that you have been putting off or doing more research on.

March 18 sees a solar eclipse in Pisces. A solar eclipse allows us to bring closure to an area of our life. An eclipse occurs every 19 years in that specific sign. To help you with this eclipse, think about what significant events occured during the last Pisces solar eclipse on March 18, 1988. This is a time to be aware of changes in belief - a kind of spiritual awakening if you will. You may look at life differently than you have before. I have a client who recently told me that she just "gets it" now and that everything is clearer.

February Updates

Mercury is going retrograde on Feb 13 until March 7, 2007. This is happening in Pisces so be prepared for foggy judgement, inability to see details clearly and misunderstandings with communication. Double check your work for accuracy, do not make major decisions if possible and be sure that you are saying exactly what you mean. At the same time, for some people this retrograde allows us time to focus on our fantasies and what we want to accomplish. It is not a time for setting goals, but a great time to think about what the big picture looks like.

The New Moon occurs in Aquarius on Feb 17 at 9:15am MST. This gives us an opportunity to think about our hopes and dreams. This is a great time to reflect on humanitarian issues such as volunteering or making a difference in your community. How would you feel if you were able to help someone else? Are you doing your part in helping the world become more aware?

Valentine's Day is also this month so don't forget about your sweetheart. If you don't have a sweetheart, you can still make someone's day special.

Let's look closer at the myth of St. Valentine. One legend describes Valentine as a priest in the third century in Rome . It is said that Emperor Claudius II banned marriage for young men because they made better soldiers if they were single, that is, without wives and families. Valentine deeply disagreed with this law and continued to secretly perform marriages for young men and women. When Valentine was discovered by the Emperor he was put to death. Another story describes Valentine as an inmate in a harsh Roman prison. It suggests that he sent the first "valentine" to a young woman whom he had fallen in love with while in prison. Just before his death, he sent the letter to her signed "your Valentine", a common expression used in many cards, candy, and teddy bears today. The truth to these legends has yet to be entirely discovered, but the idea of such heroism and romance will never let Valentine die.

Exciting News
